IONIA. Ephesos. Circa 180-67 BC. Cistophorus (Silver, 29 mm, 12.69 g, 1 h), circa 137-134. Cista mystica from which snake coils; around, ivy wreath with fruits. Rev. Two snakes coiled around a bow case; above, Artemis standing front, holding torch in each hand; to left, ΕΦΕ; to right, rooster standing right. Kleiner & Noe Series 38. SNG von Aulock 7835. Lightly toned. Minor marks, otherwise, very fine.
